Students explore properties of materials, movement and joining techniques as they design their own character puppet and construct it using a range of materials, tools and techniques.

Includes -

• All the Wooden parts, hardware and materials for your students to build their project with easy to follow instructions (see below for details).

• Access to Student Design Challenge Provocation, Design Worksheet, and Teacher Guide (includes Lesson plan, Risk assessment and v9 Curriculum links)

Easy to follow step-by-step instructions (reference cards) and a QR Code to Student / Teacher support material

Wooden parts, hardware and materials for up to 25 students (email us at info@makeandmeld.com.au to add packs for more students)

• Wooden Heads (a variety of spheres and cubes) - Approx. 30×30mm

• Wooden Bodies (a variety of rectangular prisms and cubes) - Approx. 30×30-50mm

• Wooden Arms and Legs - Approx. 11mmx30-70mm

• Wooden Puppet controls

• Cotton String for attaching controls

• Paper and plastic coated wire for attaching arms and legs

• Repurposed Fabric pieces for puppets clothes etc

• Wool and Felt for hair

• Sanding blocks x 2 for sanding wooden parts.

The following Tools and Safety Equipment are required to make this project and are NOT included

• Safety Equipment - Junior Safety Glasses (for working with wire)

• Low Temp Hot Glue Guns / Glue sticks for attaching clothes and hair to puppets

• Decorating materials - watercolour paints, coloured pens
