Students explore how the moon revolves around the Earth, and the Earth around the Sun and apply their knowledge in the context of constructing and observing their own Sun, Earth, Moon Model!

• Wooden parts with pre-drilled holes

• LED light with Battery Pack (batteries not included - 2xAA batteries required per student)

• Nails and screws

• Wire, beads and Pre-drilled ping-pong ball

• Sanding blocks x 2 for sanding wooden parts.

The following Tools and Safety Equipment are required to make this project and are NOT included

• Hammers (for hammering in dowels into pre-drilled holes)

• Screw Drivers (for attaching moving parts into pre-drilled holes)

• Pliers (for cutting and bending wire)

• Large scissors or cutting blades (for cutting thick cardboard)

• Safety Equipment - Junior safety glasses

• PVA Glue, hot-glue guns, glue sticks, sticky-tape

• Decorating materials - watercolour paints, coloured pens
